Why This Approach Works
Instead of trying to control your child's behavior through rewards and punishments, we'll explore what your child's actions are telling you about their underlying feelings and needs.
When we understand what's really going on, we can address the root cause rather than just managing symptoms.
You'll learn to see your child's "difficult" behavior as information about what they're experiencing internally. This shift in perspective opens up entirely new possibilities for how you respond.
Jen's coaching helped me realize that my reactions to my son's behavior were coming from my own unmet needs. When I addressed those first, everything shifted."
I was constantly defending my parenting choices to my mother-in-law. Now I have language to explain why I parent the way I do, and she's actually starting to understand.
Yes, completely free. No catch.
You can attend as many or as few calls as you want with no commitment or pressure to purchase anything.
Not at all! Drop in whenever you have a challenge you'd like support with or when you want to hear how other parents are navigating similar situations.
While our focus is on ages 1-12, many of the principles apply across age ranges. You're welcome to join and see if the approach resonates with your situation.
Recordings are available to members of the Parenting Membership. Live attendance gives you the chance to receive personalized coaching, but you'll still benefit from hearing other families' situations on the recording.
Most parenting advice focuses on techniques to change your child's behavior. We focus on understanding what's driving the behavior and finding solutions that work for everyone. You won't leave with a one-size-fits-all method, but with skills to navigate any situation that comes up.
You never have to share anything you're not comfortable with. Many parents find that hearing others discuss similar struggles helps them realize they're not the only ones facing these challenges.
Absolutely not. We start from the assumption that you're doing your best with the tools you have. Together, we'll explore new tools and perspectives that might serve your family better.
This is actually a common topic that comes up on our calls. We'll explore ways to have conversations with partners, family members, and others who might question your parenting choices.
Each call is different because we respond to what parents bring up. Common topics include tantrums, bedtime battles, sibling conflicts, homework struggles, and navigating relationships with extended family about parenting choices.
